Every piece is handcrafted in Crete, Greece from carefully selected mature olive wood.
The wood is air-dried for several months to stabilise the grain, then hand-carved by Cretan artisans who read the natural contours of each piece before deciding how to shape it. This slow-made process takes hours, not minutes.
The finished piece is sanded by hand and sealed with a blend of olive oil and beeswax: no lacquers, no chemical coatings, no plastic. The result is a food-safe, naturally dense surface that develops a richer patina with age.
We ship from Oshawa, Ontario to every province and territory in Canada. Orders ship within 5 to 7 business days, processing included, depending on your location.
Every order is carefully wrapped in recycled tissue paper and packed in a sturdy box with corner protection. Olive wood is dense and durable, but we take extra care to make sure it arrives exactly as it left our hands.
Tracking is included with every order. You will receive a confirmation email with your tracking number as soon as your package ships.
Returns are accepted within 60 days, and items must be unused. Contact us and we will arrange the return according to our Returns and Refunds Policy.
Because every piece is handcrafted and unique, slight variations in grain pattern, colour, and dimensions (up to 6 cm) are normal and not considered defects. That is the nature of real, hand-carved olive wood. Full details: Returns and Refunds Policy
Hand wash only with mild soap. Dry immediately. Do not soak, and never put olive wood in the dishwasher. Stand upright to dry, never flat on a wet surface.
Re-oil every 1 to 2 months with food-grade mineral oil or olive oil. Apply a thin coat, let it soak in for 20 minutes, and wipe off the excess with a dry cloth.
For a deeper treatment, apply food-grade beeswax paste 2 to 3 times per year. This restores moisture and renews the natural sheen.
