  • Every piece begins with an olive tree in Crete, Greece that has reached the end of its fruit-producing life, typically after 100 to 300 years of growth. No productive trees are cut down.

The wood is air-dried for several months to stabilise the grain, then hand-carved by Cretan artisans who read the natural contours of each piece before deciding how to shape it. This slow-made process takes hours, not minutes.

The finished piece is sanded by hand and sealed with a blend of organic olive oil and beeswax: no lacquers, no chemical coatings, no plastic. The result is a food-safe, naturally antibacterial surface that develops a richer patina with age.
